WARRINGTON has seen its biggest daily rise of coronavirus cases to date, according to the latest round of government figures.

There are now 65 patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the town, up 25 from yesterday.

This total does not include residents who could have coronavirus but have not been tested as they are in self-isolation after showing symptoms.

Sadly, four people are confirmed to have died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

This includes three men and one woman, aged between 59 and 84.

All four patients had underlying health conditions.

Across the UK, there have been 4,244 new cases today and 569 deaths.

This brings the total number of cases to 33,718 and 2,921 deaths.
