BOARDED up windows at a Kidderminster pub have been turned into a colourful tribute to the NHS.

Owners at The Weary Traveller in Sutton Road were forced to board up the pub after a traffic cone was thrown through one of its front windows earlier this month.

The boards have now been covered by a giant rainbow painted by owners Sami and Russell Wright's three sons Billy, age 11, Tommy, age eight, and Frankie, age six.

Another window displays a thank you message to key workers on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis.

Sami told The Shuttle: "A few weeks ago, we had a traffic cone thrown through our window. We boarded them up, so to brighten the front of our pub up, my three sons decided to show their respect and paint the rainbow to show our support to the NHS and key workers.

"My locals that drink in our pub have been fantastic and supported us all the way.

"We have a game called The Last Man Standing. The prize money is £670 and we’ve all decided to donate the prize money to the NHS."
