A CANVEY doctor and Rotarian has died.
Tay Aung passed away yesterday although the cause is unknown at this stage.
Tributes poured in from members of the Canvey Rotary and the Canvey community..
Canvey Rotary posted on its Facebook page: "We are really sad to mark the passing of Rotarian Tay Aung yesterday.
"Tay will be remembered for a lifetime of service to the people of Canvey Island both professionally and through personal acts of service to the Island community as a Past President of our Rotary Club.
"Rest peacefully our friend."
Mr Aung was president of Canvey Rotary from 1987-1988.
He was also a well respected GP at Third Avenue Health Centre on the island, and Highlands Surgery, in Leigh.
