POLICE have given "words of advice" to a pet owner after a dog was left needing veterinary treatment following an incident in a Kidderminster park.
Officers said the "dog on dog incident" took place in Baxter Gardens Park at around 5pm on Wednesday, May 13.
An appeal was launched to trace the owner of a brown brindle-coloured lurcher-style dog.
The other dog suffered injuries that required veterinary treatment.
Police have since confirmed that the owner of the lurcher-style dog has been located.
A spokesman said: "Owner has made contact with police, suitable words of advice have been provided.
"The owner of the injured dog has been updated and is happy with the police action and we are happy to report that her dog is making a good recovery."
