PLANS have been announced for a new nursery in Bewdley to replace a pre-school which has been forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Community Corner Pre-School in Wyre Hill told parents earlier this month that "obstacles preventing the pre-school from reopening suggested by the government" meant it would have to close down for good.
St Anne's CE Primary School, where the pre-school was based, has since announced it will be opening its own nursery from September.

An announcement from headteacher Mr Tipping said: "I am delighted to announce that St Anne’s CE Primary School will be opening a new Nursery setting from September 2020.
"We will be opening a new Nursery provision that forms part of the family of school with an emphasis on play-based, child-initiated learning with an outdoors approach.
"This is a hugely exciting opportunity for school and I hope that our existing and future parents will be as excited by it as we are.
"We are looking forward to getting to know and supporting parents from an earlier point in their child’s development."
Mr Tipping said he had met with governors, who voted in favour of opening the nursery, and with the owners of Community Corner, who he said had been "very supportive" of the plans.
