FILM fans can get their movie fix by experiencing one of the outdoor cinemas on offer near Kidderminster.

Venues in Worcestershire are screening the likes of Mamma Mia, Downton Abbey, Dirty Dancing, Jurassic Park and kids' favourites such as The Little Mermaid, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo on dates in August.

Hare & Hounds pub, Shenstone

This month, the Worcester Road pub is transforming its giant pub garden into the ultimate outdoor cinema experience.

The Hare & Hounds will be screening Shrek on a big screen under the stars on Friday, August 21 and Mamma Mia! on Saturday, August 22.

Movie goers can grab a beer, fill up on movie snacks and sit back for an unforgettable night filled with Abba's greatest hits.

The Eventures outdoor cinema event will see doors open at 7.30pm, ready for the film to start at sunset.

Capacity is limited so people are advised to book early.

There will be a late night licensed bar and movie snack menu available throughout the film.

Seated tickets are available, or people can bring along a blanket or camping chair.

Free on-site parking and indoor toilet facilities will be available.

Tickets are priced from £7.06 to £30.77.

Movie-goers are cordially invited to spend an evening on the lawn at The Elms Hotel and Greenhouse Spa in Abberley for a socially-distanced screening of the one and only Downton Abbey on Thursday, August 13.

The beloved Crawleys and their intrepid staff prepare for the most important moment of their lives.

A royal visit from the king and queen of England soon unleashes scandal, romance and intrigue – leaving the future of Downton hanging in the balance.

Two by two-metre seating pitches will be provided for each party, with a maximum of four people allowed per pitch.

For bookings of more than four, guests are asked to arrive together so they can be allocated adjoining pitches.

Barbecue food, cinema snacks and a gin bar will be available on the night, so visitors are asked not to bring their own food and drink.

The venue is also offering alfresco dining or in its Badger Bar and Grill, but diners will need to book in advance through the hotel's website. Overnight stay is also available by emailing info@theelmshotel.co.uk.

Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Deckchairs will be provided for those purchasing premium seats. All other customers selecting standard seating must bring their own low-backed camping chairs or deckchairs.

Gates open at 7.30pm and the movie starts at 9pm.

Webbs is offering movie-lovers the ultimate summer drive-in cinema experience, with 48 film screenings to choose from and events running every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until August 23.

There's also a great selection of cinema snacks and drinks from Webbs' award-winning food hall.

Each screening will be shown in the garden centre grounds via a state-of-the-art LED screen and wireless sound boxes for your car - perfect for an enjoyable socially-distanced event to remember.

Prices start from £20 per vehicle for children's screenings and £35 per vehicle for afternoon and evening events.
