IT'S a job like no other - West Midland Safari Park is looking to recruit a jolly individual to fill Father Christmas' boots for this year's festive period.

The new Santa Claus will be working in the park's Christmas Grotto, meeting and greeting families and giving guests a magical festive experience.

The position will involve up to 37.5 hours per week, paid at an hourly rate of up to £9.47, and will include working evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will be full of Christmas spirit and be comfortable talking to all children about toys, elves and reindeer.

It will be essential to remain in character at all times - telling Christmas stories, listening to toy wish-lists and even singing the odd Christmas carol to ensure that all children who visit the park have a memorable experience.

Given the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to dress in a Santa outfit. They may also be required to work as an elf on occasion.
