HERE are some of the more notable cases heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on September 15.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Malvern woman who failed to attend her court hearing to face drink-driving charges.

Maxine Pincott, of Edith Berry Court, Malvern, was due to appear before magistrates in Worcester on September 15 to face a single charge of driving while over the limit.

The charge states that on August 7 this year, the 58-year-old drover in Townsend Way, Malvern, with 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

She failed to appear for her hearing, so a warrant for arrest without bail was issued by the court.

A trial date has been set for a man who denies assaulting a woman and a man in Worcester.

Ian Summers, 51, appeared before magistrates on September 15 where he denied assaulting the woman in Worcester on August 1 this year.

He denied this, as well as the second charge, which stated that he assaulted a man in the city on the same day.

The date for the trial was set as December 22 this year in Worcester.

A man from Worcester has been handed a conditional discharge and a fine after he admitted possession of cannabis in the city.

Shelby Brennan, of no fixed abode, indicated a guilty plea when he appeared in court on September 15.

He was charged with possession of synthetic cannabis, as well as failing to comply with a community order imposed at Redditch Magistrates Court last year.

The 22-year-old was given a six-month conditional discharge for the possession of cannabis, as well as being ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £22.

Magistrates also ordered the forfeiture and destruction of the drug. For breaching the community order, he was fined £20 with the order to continue.

A trial date has been set for a Worcester 44-year-old man who denies assaulting a police officer.

Christopher Vale of Flag Meadow Walk, appeared in court on September 15 where he denied assaulting a PC Wood in Worcester on August 9.

His trial date was set for October 23 at Redditch Magistrates Court.
