A FURTHER death has been recorded across Warrington and Halton hospitals attributable to coronavirus.
Warrington And Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that the patient sadly passed away on Saturday.
The trust’s coronavirus death toll now stands at 141, with this latest passing coming five days after the previous Covid-19 death.
Before then, both Warrington and Halton hospitals had not seen a death due to coronavirus for three weeks.
The death was one of three coronavirus deaths recorded in the north west region between September 17-20.
All three patients were aged between 44 and 95 years old and all had known underlying health conditions.
According to NHS England data, the total number of confirmed reported coronavirus deaths in hospitals in England is 29,757.
