THE driver of a tanker who crashed through the central reservation of the M5 this week was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.

Highways England warned people to avoid the area and find an alternative route.

The motorway reopened at 3.30pm though one lane remained closed for the clean-up work to be completed due to a fuel spill caused by the crash.
