Redditch United continued their unbeaten start to the season to impress in front of a buoyant home crowd to beat Biggleswade Town 4-1 at The Trico Stadium. United staff and players took to social media before the game in an attempt to reach the government restricted limit of 600 spectators and this helped boost the attendance to 553.

This season it is not just the performances that have been dramatically improvement under the new owner an Manger but also attendances have dramatically changed too. In fact, in the same fixture last season Redditch lost at home in front of just 118 spectators. Before the game Matt Clarke was worried that the last minute equaliser on Tuesday for Rushall Olympic, that saw 10-man Reds lose a three goal lead to draw the game, may have affected the players.

This may have been the case as Biggleswade took an early lead through Neal who smashed home from short range.

However an emphatic finish from Jordan Clement settled the team and fans before he doubled his tally before half time. From there on in The Reds dominated and this energised the home crowd. Further goals were added by Alex Cameron and Ethan Johnston to give United a comfortable victory which has seen them move to 3rd in the Table. Redditch travel to St Ives on Saturday before they host Nuneaton Borough on October 24.

Season tickets are still available at Redditch for £99 and can be purchased at the Club or via the Club website www.rufcofficial.co.uk
