BEWDLEY Town found themselves blown off track following a sensational Severn Valley derby with AFC Bridgnorth which produced a pulsating 11 goal spree.

But it was Bewdley who finished up derailed when Bridgnorth stoked up their first West Midlands League win of the season as they finished with a 6-5 success.

Bewdley had made an express start as Luke Morris lashed home a Matt Kerby cross after eight minutes.

Ben Priest bagged a second Bewdley goal just moments later with a stunning solo effort before Bridgnorth battled back to level with Carl Griffiths and Tom Grainger on target.

The lead continued to change hands as Josh Carpenter went onto complete a hat-trick for Bewdley.

Bridgnorth responded, Griffiths grabbing a trio of goals as well while Grainger added another.

Ultimately it was Cam Miln who settled the affair right on time when firing home in the 88th minute after Bewdley had failed to clear their ranks.

Bewdley will bid to bounce straight back this Saturday when they entertain Derbyshire side Stapenhill at Ribbesford Meadow in the FA Vase First Round proper.
