THE show will go on at Kidderminster's Rose Theatre nearly eight months after performances were forced to stop due to the coronvairus outbreak.

The season came to an abrupt end in March, resulting in cancellations and postponements of several plays and visiting acts.

But devoted members the Nonentities Society have kept the theatre going throughout the lockdown and have developed a programme of plays which they have been allowed to rehearse safely, following the strict social distancing guidelines.

A limited number of tickets have gone on sale for a series of monologues by the finest actors, directors and support teams that The Nonentities has to offer.

During the month of November, there will be four themed groups of three plays on each night.

Between November 4 and 7 is Fright Night - three classic tales of mystery and the macabre by Edgar Alan Poe and WW Jacobs.

From November 11 to 14 is Something Classical, with three short plays from Dickens, Rattigan and Wilde.

Three of Alan Bennett's Talking Heads will take to the stage between November 18 and 21, and finally, from November 25 to 28, three modern plays will give audiences A Slice of Life.

Tickets cost £10 and are only available by calling the box office on 01562 743 745.

There will be no bar or refreshments on sale, however audience members are welcome to bring their own refreshments to consume during the short breaks.

Guests will be required to wear a face covering while in all parts of the theatre and during performances.

Curtain up is 7.30pm as usual.

A spoksesman for the theatre said: "We would love to see you at The Rose again."
