THE infection rate for coronavirus in Wyre Forest has risen yet again compared to the previous week, according to the latest figures.
All areas in Worcestershire apart from Worcester have seen a rise in their local Covid-19 infection rate compared to the previous week.
Wyre Forest's rate of infection rose to 162.9 per 100,000 people in the seven days up to October 29 - the latest data available - compared to 111.6 the week before.
The number of cases confirmed was 165, compared to 113 the previous week.
Wyre Forest had the third highest infection rate of the six districts in Worcestershire, with Bromsgrove recording the highest rate yet again at 198.2 per 100,000.
This compares to 184.2 in the week up to October 22.
Bromsgrove recorded 198 cases in the seven days up to October 29, compared to 184 the week before.
Redditch had the second highest infection rate with 190, compared to 145.4 the week before.
The borough of Redditch had 162 positive cases in the latest week, compared to 124 in the week prior.
Worcester had a rate of 149.2 and 151 positive cases, compared to 154.1 per 100,000 the week before and 156 positive cases.
Wychavon's rate was 124.4, with 161 cases, compared to a rate of 116.7 the week before and 151 positive cases.
Malvern Hills rate for the week up to October 29 was 104.2 - the lowest in Worcestershire - with 92 cases, compared to 100.4 the previous week and 79 confirmed cases.
The figures, for the seven days to October 29 are based on tests carried out in laboratories and in the wider community, according to Public Health England data published on November 2.
Data for the most recent four days (October 30 to November 2) has been excluded as it is incomplete and does not reflect the true number of cases.
