THE area of Wolverley, Cookley and Blakedown has the most coronavirus cases in Wyre Forest, followed by Comberton, according to the latest figures.

In the seven days up to November 5 - the latest data available from Public Heath England, Wyre Forest's infection rate increased again to 262.2, with a total of 266 confirmed cases.

This compares to a rate of 164.9 and 167 confirmed cases in the seven days up to October 29 - before the nationwide lockdown.

It means Wyre Forest now has the second highest infection rate in Worcestershire, after Redditch.

Figures for more localised areas of Wyre Forest, which cover the seven days up to November 4, show which parts of the district have the most confirmed cases.

On the Public Health England map, areas in purple have the highest seven-day rolling infection rates, followed by areas in dark blue, then light blue, dark green, light green and yellow.

  1. Wolverley, Cookley and Blakedown - 40 cases (an increase of 22 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 439.3
  2. Comberton - 30 cases (an increase of 12 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 355.5
  3. Bewdley East and Upper Arley - 23 cases (an increase of 18 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 336.6
  4. Stourport Mitton and Wilden - 22 cases (an increase of nine on the previous week), and an infection rate of 277.4
  5. Hartlebury and Wychbold - 21 cases (an increase of two on the previous week), and an infection rate of 263
  6. Kidderminster Town - 20 cases (an increase of 13 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 234.1
  7. Stourport Lickhill and Burlish - 20 cases (an increase of one on the previous week), and an infection rate of 285.1
  8. Greenhill - 17 cases (an increase of 10 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 242.5
  9. Habberley - 17 cases (an increase of seven on the previous week), and an infection rate of 259.5
  10. Spennells and Hoobrook - 16 cases (an increase of 11 on the previous week), and an infection rate of 249.3
  11. Foley Park - 14 cases (an increase of seven on the previous week), and an infection rate of 184.7
  12. Birchen Coppice - 13 cases (an increase of six on the previous week), and an infection rate of 214.1
  13. Stourport Areley Kings - 13 cases (an increase of five on the previous week), and an infection rate of 222
  14. Bewdley West, Ribbesford and Far Forest - 11 cases (an increase of one on the previous week), and an infection rate of 155.9
  15. Franche - 10 cases (an increase of two on the previous week), and an infection rate of 145.3

Elsewhere in Worcestershire, for the seven days up to November 5, Redditch had an infection rate of 295.6, with 252 positive coronavirus cases. This compares to a rate of 190 in the week up to October 29, and 162 cases.

Worcester's infection rate was 216.3 with 219 cases, compared to a rate of 150.2 and 152 cases a week earlier.

Bromsgrove had a rate of 210.3 with 210 cases, compared to an infection rate of 199.2 and 199 cases in the previous week.

Wychavon's infection rate was 163 with 211 cases. A week earlier, its rate was 124.4 with 161 cases.

Malvern had an infection rate of 118.2 with 93 cases, compared to 104.2 with 82 positive cases the week before.

In comparison, Birmingham had an infection rate of 325.1 and 3,712 confirmed cases, compared to a rate of 273.9 and 3,128 cases the previous week.

A majority of areas in England - 210 out of 315 - have seen a rise in case rates.

The figures are based on tests carried out in laboratories and in the wider community. The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people.

Data for the most recent five days has been excluded as it is incomplete and does not reflect the true number of cases.
