Who are you?

We are Purple Granite. We manufacture and supply the highest quality stone worktops to commercial and trade. We provide Granite, Quartz and Ceramic worksurfaces for Kitchens, Bathrooms and more.

When did you open and why?

Purple have been operating since 2010 with the aim of supplying and fitting the best value stone worktops, without compromising quality. We now have two showrooms in Kidderminster and Worcester and are looking forward to being fully operational with both showrooms open to the public from December 2.

Tell us about your business.

Purple have been running for 10 years and have always been a business local to Worcestershire, we pride ourselves on allowing the general public to have high quality stone worktops at trade prices saving them significant amounts of money by cutting out the middle man.

We can get any stone from any supplier and our turnaround is the fastest in the UK.

How did you decide on the name?

Our director’s son chose the name purple when he was young because it was his favourite colour, and it just stuck!

Who works there?

We have grown from four employees back in 2010 to now around 30 and have been growing massively throughout 2020 despite the circumstances of lockdowns and we feel extremely privileged to have been able to grow at this time.

Who are your customers?

Our customers are everyone from kitchen companies, interior designers, renovators and those who just want their worktops replaced!

What’s your most memorable/proudest moment in business?

The decision for Purple to leave our old premises in Bromsgrove and move from a 4500sqft building to a 20,000sqft site in Kidderminster was an extremely proud moment for us, it was a leap of faith but we have only expanded and grown since then!

Have you had any strange/quirky suggestions or stories from customers?

We once had to make a granite tabletop in the shape of a grand piano!

What are your ambitions for the future?

Our ambitions for the future are to keep expanding, growing, and employing more people whilst still providing quality stone products and delivering great service to our customers.
