A SPEEDO wearing Santa from Kidderminster got into the Christmas spirit by completing a half marathon for KEMP Hospice.

Robin Williams, from Offmore Road, took part in the charity's Virtual Santa Fun Run alongside his tinsel wearing border collie Joe.

People cheered Robin on Sunday morning (December 20) as he ran down Kidderminster streets for a noble cause.

He ran two mile loops Up Chester South Road, Comberton Road, Spennells Valley Road.

The 30-year-old, who works in marketing, told The Shuttle: "I did the run a little bit differently. I only wore the Santa hat and some Speedos.

"I decided to do a half marathon. My dog Joe ran with me and was a great pace setter. I don't think I could have done it by myself.

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that honked, waved, gave the thumbs up, shouted, smiled and donated.

" It really motivated me to carry on and not feel the cold."

Robin's mum Wendy, his girlfriend Sophie and her friend Alex collected donations for KEMP during his run.

He has now raised £800 for the charity and people can continue to donate here.

Robin added: "It went really well, everyone was really supportive. It was so fun.

"KEMP are amazing and it was just something small to raise their profile."
