WYRE Forest District Council is appealing for information following a break in at their Green Street depot in Kidderminster on December 27.

The council estimates more than 100 litres of fuel was stolen and extensive damage was caused to two vehicles.

A refuse collection lorry and a large road sweeper are now out of action while they are repaired, which will cause disruption to services.

A person was captured on CCTV driving a silver Hyundai Matrix and cutting the fence to get access to the depot.

The incident happened just after 2.45pm.

They were wearing black trainers and tracksuit bottoms with a hoodie.

People with information are asked to contact police using the incident number 89I2912.
