Drivers are being warned of lengthy upcoming road closes at Kidderminster and Wolverley.

Silverwoods Way in the town is due to be shut on February 8 for 26 days for a sewer connection to be carried out.

Diversions will be by Worcester Road and Stourport Road.

Meanwhile Austcliffe Lane in Wolverley and Cookley is due to close for 28 days from February 10.

The closure is for electricity cable repairs and the alternative route is via Wolverhampton Road and Castle Road.

A three-day road closure is also planned from February 8 at Cakebole Line in Chaddesley Corbett for a culvert fence replacement.

Plans have been revealed for Wyre Forest Council to dispose of open land at Riverside North (Northwood Lane) Park in Kidderminster. The public have until January 28 to lodge any objections.

The council have also revealed a proposal to for change plans for rented housing at the Victoria Carpets Sports Ground site at Chester Road South in Kidderminster. The proposal is to change tenure for social rented units to affordable rented unit.

Standard Motor Transport have applied to be able to keep three more goods vehicles at the Gemini Business Park on Stourport Road in Kidderminster.
