THE devastating impact of flooding in Bewdley has been captured by an aerial video.

Between 30 and 40 properties in the town have been affected by the flooding after temporary defences at Beales Corner were breached. The River Severn levels in Bewdley swelled due to heavy rain caused by Storm Christoph.

The town suffered flooding last year after river levels rose and poured over the top of barriers at Beales Corner.

The river levels in Bewdley peaked at 5.44m at 14.45pm yesterday (Saturday, January 23).

River levels remain high but are now starting to fall at the Bewdley river gauge.
