A MUSICAL fundraiser in aid of a Kidderminster woman’s battle against cancer will be delivered with love.

The local String of Roses duo are holding an online concert on Valentine’s night to raise money for Megan Smith, who has started pioneering treatment in America.

Bewdley professional cellist Rebecca Rose and Kidderminster singer and guitar player Charlie Davies will be doing a Facebook livestream from the Teach Me Music Academy in Kidderminster.

The pair have just released a record, Walk on Water, with proceeds helping to boost Megan’s fund, which had topped its £60,000 target needed to start the US treatment.

However, the fund needs constant topping up to pay for the ongoing treatment so The String of Roses are asking music lovers to pay £3.99 for a "lovely evening of our acoustic arrangements of popular songs ideal to accompany a lockdown date night".

Or for those less romantically inclined, it’s "an enjoyable evening of live music and few giggles from the comfort of your own home."

Find it livestream on Facebook by searching String of Roses or email thestringofroses@gmail.com for details.
