A GROUP of children were chased by two men with a machete and a knife in Stourport.

The children, who were aged between eight and 14 years old, were chased by two men in black clothing and hats in Layamon Walk on Monday, February 15.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 3.30pm, but a police investigation is under way and officers are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after two men chased a group of children in Stourport.

"The incident happened around 3.30pm on Monday, February 15 in Layamon Walk.

"Two men chased a group of four children, aged between 8 and 14, with what is believed to be a machete and a knife.

"No one was injured in the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and police are appealing for witnesses.

"The suspects were both wearing black clothing and hats, one had a green jacket on."
