RAINBOW badges have been presented to frontline workers in Kidderminster as a thank you for their hard work in the fight against Covid-19.

The badges were donated by long-time hospital volunteer and fundraiser Fred Holland, who presented the tokens alongside sweet treats to staff at Kidderminster Hospital and Cohens Chemist last week.

Mr Holland was instrumental in raising funds for a new diabetes centre at Kidderminster Hospital, which is named after him and opened in 2012, and wanted to thank the staff for their continued hard work during the pandemic.

He said: "The staff are all wonderful and this is just a small token of appreciation as they have looked after me in the past."
