A UNIQUE Bewdley boutique where pooches can get pampered has finally opened its doors in the town.

Bark Avenue on Load Street is described as an 'eco-friendly boutique for human and pooch' by owners Simon Pearson, aged 38, and Nataszia Thorn, aged 35.

The shop opened on April 17 and offers a one on one dog grooming service, with all natural spa products, as well as a array of gifts for sale.

The couple hoped to open the doors to the boutique in January, but they had to put this on hold due to the national lockdown. The team then decided to start delivering items to customers.

Their most popular item for sale is the refillable natural dog treat boxes and sprat jars. Within a few weeks of delivering, they had sold hundreds with orders coming in from around the country.

The team say they wanted to bring something a little different to the area by offering items that are either 100 per cent natural or made from recycled materials.

They also offer a refill service on a number of items to help save on waste.

Owner Simon Pearson said: "The plan was to open in January but Covid restrictions put a stop to that.

"It's been really good and very well received. Local people have come in said it's a great addition to the town.

"It's nice after all that time to be able to have that said to you, so all your hard work is appreciated.

"Hopefully we can continue and grow."

Love Local Business follows on from the successful campaign, of the same name, which we ran in the Shuttle/Advertiser last summer and over Christmas.

The aim is to promote all the fantastic traders we have in our towns and urge our readers to give them their custom at this key time as the struggle to overcome the financial implications of the pandemic.

As part of the Newsquest publishing group, the Shuttle/Advertiser reaches a huge percentage of the local population across our well-established regional brands including print publications, record online audiences and social media.

Any business which wants to be featured in the campaign call 01905 742372 or email dale.godliman@localiq.co.uk.
