Police have said an incident happened at Broadwaters Park at 9.40pm on Monday (May 10).
The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injures and a search of the area was conducted.
A knife was recovered, however it hasn’t been determined whether this is connected to the assault.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information are asked to contact police online at westmercia.police.uk or by calling 101.
On Facebook, Wyre Forest Police said: “With a knife incident on Broadwaters Park yesterday evening, Op Sceptre educating people about the risks around carrying knives is as relevant as ever.
“Greenhill SNT will be outside Tesco, Castle Road this morning for anyone that wants to discuss concerns around knife crime or any other issues you have in the local area.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they were called to reports of an assault on Sion Hill at 9.47pm yesterday. However, they received a second call afterwards to stand down.
