A YOUNG girl from York has been crowned the winner of a national competition after designing her dream treehouse.
Eight-year-old Lottie Brown entered the competition hosted by Co-op Insurance and Neighbourhood Watch - to celebrate the release of The Croods 2: A New Age.
Judges selected Lottie’s design from hundreds of entries.
The judges said they were impressed by Lottie’s attention to detail and the ‘kindness rocks’ included within her treehouse concept.
“I love using my imagination to design things and going on adventures outside in nature. I’m so excited to see it in real life and see other people enjoying it too,” Lottie said.
Lottie’s mum, Louise, said: “There were so many wonderful entries and it was very lovely to see her shocked, yet happy face when she found out she had won.”
Lottie will see her treehouse design come to life when the winning creation is unveiled at the Wildlife Trust’s Idle Valley Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire later this year.
