A FINE and costs have been imposed on a Workington woman after she admitted a criminal damage offence and an assault.
Paulette Sandwith, 30, of Casson Road, pleaded guilty at Carlisle Magistrates' Court to destroying an ornament worth £25 on April 21.
She had originally denied the offence but changed her plea to guilty when she appeared at court.
She also pleaded guilty to assaulting a male on the same date in Workington.
After hearing an outline of the two offences, magistrates imposed a community order with certain requirements.
These include a stipulation that he must complete up to 15 days of rehabilitation activity.
The defendant must pay prosecution costs of £150 as well as a £95 victim surcharge. She must also pay £25 the the owner of the damaged ornament.
