POLICE responded after receiving reports that a child was approached on their way home from a Kidderminster school.
A search was carried out around the area of Franche Community Primary School in Chestnut Grove on Wednesday, July 7.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Officers attended and a full search of the area was conducted to try and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"At this time we do not believe that any offences have been committed but that the report was made in good faith.
"We will be conducting additional patrols in the area over the coming days to provide reassurance to the public."
