AN 18-year-old has been detained after an unprovoked assault in Kidderminster town centre.
Members of the public intervened to stop the man running away from officers.
On social media, Wyre Forest Police said: "Not the brightest thing to go and do when you've just ran past officers.
"Whilst on OP Orca patrols in K'town PCSO's we're quick to detain an 18 year old man following an unprovoked assault on the High Street.
"Thankfully no-one required medical treatment.
"We'd like to thank members of the public who intervened by trying to stop the man from running away."
