A WYRE Forest gift retailer could be in line for a handful of awards.
Mooch, which has stores in Bewdley and Stourport, is a finalist in national awards The Retas and The Greats – viewed as the Oscars of the card and gift industry – as well as the regional Muddy Stilettos, which is decided on a public vote and is designed to highlight excellence in small businesses.
The Retas nomination is in the Best Card Retailer – West Midlands category, and The Greats for Best Gift Retailer West Midlands and Wales, and also for Best Retailer Initiative for ‘mooch live’ – a QVC-style show launched to combat restrictions due to Covid.
The Muddy Stilettos nomination is in the Best Gift Retailer – Gloucestershire and Worcestershire category.
Co-founder of mooch, Jon May, said: “We are so pleased our stores are being recognised nationally by industry experts as some of the best in the UK.
“Just to be a finalist feels like we have won already but obviously winning an award would be the icing on the cake!”
The winners of all three awards will be announced at ceremonies in the autumn.
