SOME Kidderminster residents have said they "can't remember" the last time they received mail as delivery services are disrupted due to posties self-isolating.

A number of staff members based at the Kidderminster Delivery Office, on Carpet Traders Way, are self-isolating following one positive Covid-19 case.

This has caused chaos to normal delivery services, with Royal Mail apologising to customers for the situation.

A resident of Hamilton Road and another from the Sutton Farm area have said they "can't remember" the last time they received post.

A resident of Tomkinson Drive said they have not had any post delivered since last week. Another from Jubilee Drive said they have "not had anything for days."

A Royal Mail Spokesperson said: “The health and safety of our colleagues and our customers is our number one priority at Royal Mail.

“A number of colleagues are self-isolating at the Kidderminster Delivery Office following a positive case of Covid-19. We wish our colleague a speedy recovery.

“The impact on staffing levels may result in some disruption to services and we apologise to any impacted customers in advance.

“We are working hard to restore normal service levels as quickly as possible. We remain grateful to all our customers in these areas for their patience and understanding.

“If anyone has any concern about their mail please contact customer services."
