MUSIC lovers can treat themselves to a stunning performance this weekend as a renowned orchestra takes them on a trip to the United States.

Birmingham's Kimichi Symphony Orchestra heads to Hartlebury Castle on Saturday, July 24, for a performance entitled An American in Paris.

It will feature songs from the famous George Gershwin musical of the same name, alongside symphonic dances from West Side Story, performed in the castle's carriage circle.

Audiences are being encouraged to take along a picnic, chair and blanket to enjoy the show, which starts at 6pm.

Castle operations manager, Chantel Summerfield, said: "Kimichi Symphony Orchestra are brilliant musicians and we're delighted to welcome them to the castle.

"Their music is spectacular and will leave the audience enchanted and humming the pieces all the way home!"
