A PROLIFIC thief from Stourport has been jailed after shoplifting thousands of pounds worth of booze, fragrances and other items.
Bobby McGee, of Layamon Walk, was previously convicted of several counts of theft and handed a suspended prison sentence on March 13 last year.
McGee shoplifted from Tesco stores in Kidderminster and Stourport, as well as Morrisons and The Range, between December 2019 and March 2020.
However, the 31-year-old was later charged with stealing chocolate less than a month later on April 4 last year during the operational period of the suspended sentence.
McGee was found guilty at court in his absence last November and was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (August 9). He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
In total, McGee shoplifted whisky, vodka, gin, wine, champagne, 16 DVD box sets, chocolate, fragrances and toys worth £2,428.84.
