A STOURPORT couple will finally tie the knot after having their big day cancelled four times due to the Covid crisis.

Bride-to-be Jackie Woodall, aged 61, has shared her frustration and anxiety after having to constantly rearrange her wedding day.

She and her partner Robert Wragg, who both live at Stourport Caravan Park, will now be married at Stourport Manor on Saturday (August 14) in front of 85 guests.

They initially booked their wedding for May 2020 at the manor, and due to the lockdown restrictions, had to cancel until November that year.

As the pandemic escalated and the country entered lockdown for a second time, the couple then had to rearrange their big day for May this year.

Due to restrictions limiting wedding sizes in May, the couple then moved their date to July before being left disappointed yet again.

At one point, Jackie jokingly told Robert “Just forget about it, I’ve had enough” after their wedding kept getting axed.

The grandmother of two said: "They cancelled it four times. They transferred our dates bless them. We were very fortunate.”

Now, the lovebirds are excited to finally be getting their dream wedding day.

On Saturday, groom Robert, aged 60, will be arriving on the back of a Harley Davidson bike.

There will be live singers and a DJ at the wedding, and Jackie says she's looking forward to partying on the night.

The couple met at a motorbike run for local charities, with Jackie running a stall for KEMP Hospice where she volunteers. They became close friends and later supported him after he had a stroke.

Ahead of her big day, Jackie said: “I’m very anxious because it’s been cancelled four times.

“But obviously very excited to think that it’s actually going to happen.”
