RESIDENTS were evacuated from their homes after a number of suspected explosives were discovered in Kidderminster.
Bomb disposal experts were called to Millfield Gardens in the town after a member of the public found the suspect devices on Friday afternoon (September 24).
A cordon was put in place and residents were evacuated from their nearby homes as a precaution.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "Officers and bomb disposal experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) were in attendance at Millfield Gardens in Kidderminster after a member of the public reported finding a number of suspected explosive devices.
"A 100m cordon was put in place and people were evacuated from nearby properties as a precaution for their safety.
"The suspected explosive devices were removed by members of the EOD by about 3.45pm and the cordon was lifted shortly afterwards, with residents safely allowed back home."
