A MAN, with links to Kidderminster who is accused of a hit and run in Alvechurch, pleaded not guilty to all charges.

James Bullock of Shawfield Flats, Hollywood is set to stand trial next year after being charged with several offences relating to the death of a pensioner and his dog on August 15.

Stephan Jones aged 63 and his dog died after being hit by a car which fled the scene on Redditch Road.

Bullock appeared via video link at Worcester Crown Court on October 4 to offer his name and pleas.

He denied five charges which included: taking a vehicle without consent - causing the death of a person, causing death by dangerous driving, death by uninsured and unlicensed driving and committing an act with intent to pervert the course of public justice.

The 28-year-old will be remanded in custody until his next appearance for trial on February 21, 2022.
