A MAN was taken to hospital after he was the victim of a violent carjacking outside Burger King in Kidderminster.
The shocking incident happened outside Burger King on Stourport Road at around 6.45pm on Saturday (October 9).
The 34-year-old driver is believed to have been hit by his own car during the robbery.
West Mercia Police are investigating and have issued an appeal for information.
A spokesman for the force said: "Police were called to Burger King on Stourport Road in Kidderminster at around 6.45pm on Saturday 9 October following a report of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and theft of a motor vehicle.
"A 34-year-old man was injured during the incident and taken by ambulance to Alexandra Hospital in Redditch.
"Investigations are ongoing."
The victim's wife wrote on Facebook: "Our car was stolen yesterday 9 October from Foley Drive, Kidderminster (Burger King).
"The one who stole it hit my husband with the car and currently my husband is in the hospital."
