THE Community Housing Group based in Wyre Forest has undergone a rebranding and change of name.

The social housing provider, now named Community Housing, will deliver a new corporate plan which sees the consolidation of group members, Oakleaf Commercial Services and Vestia Community Trust into one single brand.

It will allow the organisation to focus on its core services of building new homes and delivering customer centred services.

Matt Cooney, chief executive, said: “Our new Corporate Plan 2021-24 has been developed from an extensive consultation process with customers, employees and key stakeholders which gives us confidence that it focusses on the areas that matter most to them.

"Our plan will deliver a simplified and streamlined business, so we can focus more of our time and resources on front line service delivery for the benefit of our customers. It also focusses on improving our efficiency as a business and enabling us to deliver much needed affordable homes, whilst also ensuring we are investing in improving our stock to meet the zero carbon challenge. We will also make changes to our governance so we are listening more to, and learning more from, our customers and making decisions shaped by their insights."

Objectives of the new plan include making life better for customers in the ways they access services, simplifying and streamlining the business to build financial strength and developing 1100 new homes within 10 years with 294 completed by March 2025.

The organisation has also welcomed a new Board Chair, Ann Bennett.
