ELITE rugby players at The Stourport High School and Vlth Form College are sporting a new strip for the year, thanks to sponsorship from Stratford Park Hotel.
The talented squad of sixth formers, drawn from a wide area to study for the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) with coaching from Worcester Warriors, are enjoying their first games without covid restrictions.
Hotel managing director Beverley Haynes’ son Finley, aged 17, is a squad member and also plays for Warwickshire side Claverdon RFC.
Assistant principal and head of Vlth form Jane Millington said: “We are very grateful to the hotel and Mrs Haynes for such generosity and support, it is very much appreciated.
“The team look great in their strip and are looking forward to a full season of games as part of the diploma, which runs alongside their academic studies.”
