A PUB boss has shared footage of a woman slapping and punching him after she refused to leave a Bewdley boozer.

The incident happened well after closing time at The Real Ale Tavern on Load Street last night (Wednesday, October 27).

Ian Hillman, licensee of the pub, said he had to restrain two women who stayed behind well after last orders wanting more drinks.

He lives above the pub and was in bed when a barmaid called him down to resolve the issue after the women were asked to leave multiple times.

Mr Hillman told The Shuttle: "I had a single member of staff there - we stopped serving at 11. It got to about quarter to 12.

"Heather my barmaid phoned me. I asked them to leave politely and they down right refused. They asked for another drink.

"The one girl started to get aggressive. She flicked the peak of my baseball cap up."

He said he then used reasonable restraint to remove both women from the pub.

After restraining both women, he said one "didn't fight back," but the other slapped him in the face and later punched him in the temple.

He also claims she scratched his arm and Heather's.

Mr Hillman shared CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook the following day.

He added: "I wanted to raise awareness. These are the kinds of things we have to deal with sometimes.

"It's not a regular occurrence. I have contacted the police.

"As a landlord, I have a legal right to physically remove somebody."
