A SOCIAL media personality has rebuilt his beloved sleigh just in time for his annual Santa tour after the original was destroyed in a fire.

Van renovator Adam Woodhouse, known best as Kiddy Lad, lost his unit during the Park Street fire in September, where his Santa sleigh was stored.

For years the comic has been dressing up as Father Christmas and delighting families in Kidderminster and Stourport on his festive tour.

Thanks to help from the community, he will be back on the streets and raising money for worthwhile causes this month.

Mr Woodhouse said: “I know a lot of people didn’t think we were going to be able to pull this off.

“We had a fire, the sleigh got destroyed, but we’re back. If you didn’t know this got destroyed before – you’d think it was the same sleigh.”

Mr Woodhouse and his team have managed to build a new and improved sleigh.

He’s thanked staff at The Range in Kidderminster for providing over £250 worth of equipment to help, and other businesses.

This year, Mr Woodhouse has started a Facebook page called Wishfinder, where he will collect funds to help make the wishes of residents come true.

He added: "We want you to go onto the page, leave us messages or send us videos of wishes that you would like to come true.

"It could be either for yourself, or somebody else.

"It's got to be a worthwhile cause. Say for instance you know somebody who would like a wheelchair that can go offroad and go out to the countryside."

Mr Woodhouse and his team will then go through the suggestions and share out the money donated during the Santa tour.

The Santa tour will start for seven nights on Monday, December 13, starting from Kidderminster and finishing in Stourport on the 19th.

He wants this year's Santa sleigh tour to be bigger and better than last year's, which allowed hundreds of children to see Santa.
