HUNDREDS gathered in Bewdley on Saturday (November 27) for the annual Christmas Lights switch-on event.

Despite the cancellation of the Christmas Market, due to high winds, the day was a success thanks to the support of the local people and visitors.

Bewdley Rotary Club donated the Christmas tree and Light Ideas lit up the bridge.

The town’s traders entered into the spirit by decorating their windows, with Kemp Hospice Shop celebrating winning the ‘Best Dressed Window’ competition. Hayley and Jamie from Kemp did a great job in dressing their window, depicting the Nativity, using only a selection of fabrics and items donated to the hospice.
