PEOPLE living in Kidderminster have been given important information by emergency services after a on Hoo Farm Industrial Estate.

Neighbours have been told to keep their windows and doors shut as smoke billows from MCD Kidderminster.

People are being told to avoid the area and road closures are currently in place.

Hoobrook Roundabout is now closed with closure points at the Stourport end of Wilden Lane, Chester Road South by viaduct, Ringway junction Worcester Road roundabout.

The A449 is also closed from junction A442.

Spears Security tweeted to warn that: "All the roads around Hoo Farm, Hoo brook and Kidderminster town centre are now starting to get gridlocked with all the road closures , avoid the area if possible."

Twenty fire engines are currently at the building and staff from neighbouring businesses have all been evacuated.

HWFRS Group Commander Jon Laight said: "This is a significant fire so please avoid the area.

"For those in Kidderminster, keep your windows and door shut due to the large amounts of smoke being produced.

"Over 20 Fire appliances on scene working with on site experts and other emergency services."

West Midlands Ambulance Service repeated the advice saying: "We are currently supporting fire colleagues at a large fire in Hoo Farm Industrial Estate in Kidderminster. "Due to the large amounts of smoke, all local residents are advised to keep doors and windows shut where possible."
