A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a serious road crash in Kidderminster, police have today confirmed.

A 53-year-old man from Rowley Regis, who was riding a Ducati motorbike, suffered fatal injuries in the crash on the A442 Bridgnorth Road, north of Kidderminster, which happened on Friday December 17.

A VW caddy van reportedly collided with the stationary Ducati at around 3.20pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Critical Care Car from Midlands Air Ambulance and a BASICS emergency doctor  to the scene and a spokesman said: "On arrival, we discovered one patient, a man, the motorcyclist, in a critical condition, he received advanced life support on scene but unfortunately, despite the best efforts of ambulance staff on scene, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.”

A 64-year-old man from Kidderminster was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was bailed.
