KEMP Hospice is launching its first ever Butterfly Memory Walk within the grounds and surrounding estate of Harvington Hall in Kidderminster.

Taking place on Saturday, February 12, people are invited to remember someone special whilst supporting the Wyre Forest Hospice.

Starting at 4.30pm, each registered participant will receive an LED butterfly which will gently glow as you take in the guided walk around the estate.

There will also be a paper butterfly to write your own message and hang on a memory wall, which will be in the Great Hall.

After completing the half mile walk, complimentary drinks and refreshments will be available in the Malthouse Café.

Entertainment will also be provided by the Rock Choir, Stourbridge, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster.

KEMP Hospice Fundraiser Jayne Sargeant said, “Our Butterfly Memory Walk in February is a lovely opportunity for people to come together safely and take some time to share memories of loved ones. We’ve kept the walk to a ½ mile guided route around the grounds, allowing for a gentle stroll to take in the early evening atmosphere and spend time together remembering loved ones.”

The event is kindly sponsored by TWS (Kidderminster) Ltd. Tim Winterburn CEO said “TWS have supported KEMP Hospice for a number of years. We are delighted to sponsor this event and continue to help KEMP Hospice with their fundraising and with the vital care and services they provide in our local community”.

Jayne continued “Each year, KEMP Hospice cares for over 1000 adults, young people and children living across the Wyre Forest District affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement. By taking part in our Butterfly Memory Walk, if each family pledges to raise £25, they’ll be helping us to continue to support families at a time when they need us most.”

If you would like to take part in the event, you can register via the KEMP Hospice website.
