A DAD who was a mascot at the Harriers FA Cup game against West Ham in 1994 now wants his son to follow in his footsteps.
Matt Brick has started a campaign to help make his eight-year-old son Flynn a mascot for Kidderminster's fourth round cup tie against West Ham next month.
Mr Brick himself was at the fifth round match against the hammers nearly 30 years ago, where the Harriers lost at Aggborough 1-0.
He told The Shuttle: "I was the mascot on the day - one of three. It was 1994, the fourth round, and I was 13.
"We pulled out West Ham and we were like 'wow.' It's history repeating itself.
"It's a bit of a dream for him because we don't support any other club.
"We were lucky enough to be there Saturday - hopefully we are lucky enough to be there for West Ham."
Harriers fans had a day to remember Saturday as their team knocked Championship side Reading out of the FA Cup in the third round.
Now aged 40, the decorator from Droitwich says his dream would be to watch his son in his former role at Aggborough.
He added: "It would just be incredible."
He has now started the #makeflynnmascot campaign on Facebook.
Flynn said: "It would be absolutely incredible and I'd feel so lucky. It would be nice to follow in my dad's footsteps."
