THE effects of the pandemic have hit the arts hard and Kidderminster Choral Society is no exception.

The society has now launched a 'Sponsor a Musician' appeal to aid their Covid Recovery.

The group has worked hard to keep going amidst cancelled concerts and rules against singing whilst many groups have not survived.

It has strived to return to singing and has done so safely. They are now working to rebuild for the future.

They are inviting arts supporters and friends of the Society to sponsor a musician in their forthcoming concert using their JustGiving fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/kidderminsterchoralsoc

Members regularly perform in Kidderminster Town Hall alongside The Elgar Symphonia Orchestra. Such grand-scale concerts are costly to stage and often feature world-class soloists. The group say it is proud to bring high standard concerts to Kidderminster.

The group has also said that concerts have been compared to Symphony Hall standard and have received critical acclaim.

Boasting Sir Edward Elgar as a past president, the Society is keen to maintain its reputation for excellent performance for Kidderminster and Worcestershire.
