THE River Severn level in Bewdley has peaked this afternoon.
The river level peaked at 5.33m at lunchtime today, according to an update from the Environment Agency.
A severe flood warning, meaning a risk to life, remains in place.
It comes as the flood defences were breached on Tuesday.
An update this afternoon from the Environment Agency states: "The level at Bewdley gauge has peaked at 5.33m lunchtime today, 23/02/22.
"Levels are forecast to remain high for a prolonged period due to further rainfall this week."
