A COCKTAIL bar in Stourport has ceased trading due to “recent trading and economic conditions.”
The popular Lombard Street bar The Lodge has said those that have booked functions at the venue will be refunded in due course.
In a statement on Facebook, the business said: "We regret to inform everyone that, unfortunately, we have ceased trading at this present time and returned keys to the landlord.
"All booked functions will be contacted shortly and deposits refunded in due course. If you have made a booking with us, please email thelodgestourport@outlook.com and we will process your deposit refund as soon as possible. Please do not message via social media.
"Recent trading and economic conditions have prevented us from achieving what we’d hoped.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
"Please bear with us as we go through this difficult period."
Fans of the venue shared their sadness at the news on social media.

Kate Wheatley said: "So sorry to hear this, a great place with always a fun atmosphere and great live music and drinks."
Amanda Philp said: "Really sorry to hear this, we loved the lodge, amazing cocktails & live music."
