A NEW café serving huge steak burgers has been a hit with hungry Stourport residents.

The Bridge Café has opened for business at the old toll house carpark, between the new medical centre and the Stourport Bridge on Dunley Road.

The mobile café offers a selection of hot breakfast sandwiches with meats sourced from local farms and butchers.

They have also been serving up six, 12 and 18-ounce Steak burgers, served on brioche buns with onions, cheese, bacon and even an egg on top.

Since opening last month, the café has received several positive reviews on its Facebook page.

The company was started by businessman James Shakespeare who is delighted with the response to his food.

He says the business has taken on three members of staff to cope with demand.

Mr Shakespeare said: “The quality of the food is outstanding and we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction.

“This recipe keeps customers coming back day after day with the word spreading fast.”

The cafe is open Monday through to Saturday from 8.30am until 2.30pm.

The Bridge Catering company is predominantly an events company supplying food at parties, outdoor events and weddings.

People can hire the Bridge Catering's mobile unit to attend a venue and cook for guests on-site.
